The Senatorial aspirants in Oyo South Senatorial district, Hon. Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi popularly known as SOJ has urged people of Oyo state to maintain peace in order to sustain democracy in the country.

The financier of Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi Foundation (RAAF) made this known while visiting at weekend, the various places vandalised as a result of the mayhem unleashed in the city of Ibadan, Oyo state capital where burning of shops with houses, commercial tricycle, and destroying of several cars ensued for three days when suspected political thugs unleashed mayhem in the city.

He said fact has emerged that the said hoodlums that unleashed the mayhem are not members of the APC, but gathered to be instigated by the opposition to give negative impression by members of the public that APCs are causal of political violence in the state.

He maintained that idle youths are instigated to perpetuate  such acts, as a result of lack of employment saying because an idle hand, is the devil's workshop.
